Punching Worry in the Face!

Birds on a wire - Mitch Matthews

Punching Worry in the Face!

So it’s day 11 of Punching Worry in the Face… and I’ve got a riddle for you.

It’s a riddle I included in my book, “IGNITE – 3 Simple Steps for Re-Sparking your Buried Dreams and Building a Plan That Finally Works!

Here it goes:

There were five birds sitting on a wire.

Three decided to fly off.

Question:

How many birds were left sitting on the wire?

Go ahead… think about it. [I’ll wait.]

Punching Worry

The ANSWER: 5

Why?

Deciding to fly off and actually flying… are two TOTALLY different things.

So… how about you?

I know we’re on this journey of “Punching Worry in the FACE!” together.

I know you want to move past just “deciding to do it” and actually DO IT!

I wanted to ask you: which of the strategies have you tried so far?

Have you checked out Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3? We dig into the 3 Buckets and how to use ’em.

Or when we talked about the temptation to worry.  Did you try that exercise?

Did you experiment with turning worry on it’s head?

And did you think through where you could lean in?

Or… have you checked out my interviews with Antonio Neves and Bob Burg?  Those are full of inspiration and ideas to help you get things done!

What’s something you’re DOING?

Let’s commit.

Let’s experiment.

Let’s take action.

Let’s do this!

Amen?

Mitch

PS – Have you invited a friend who deals with worry to join you in this journey?  I hope so!

Why not do it right now?  Don’t just “decide” to do it… do it!

See you tomorrow.

I may not follow on a daily basis (because I’m still trying to develop routines, habits and time management skills myself) but I love the way you see the world Mitch Matthews. And I am utterly grateful for your family and yourself for allowing you to share it with others. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
